DML has signed on to a statement by the Urban Libraries Council detailing its commitment to achieving racial and social equity by contributing to a more just society.

Committing to Racial and Social Equity

“We owe this to the communities we serve, particularly the most marginalized members,” said Rachel Gut, Deputy Executive Director. “During Black History Month, I encourage everyone to visit their Library, see what we are doing, and learn about the past and discover ways to get involved in making our communities more inclusive and just.”
