A local favorite and a worldwide legend in the world of stand-up comedy, Bob Zany returns to Wiley’s Comedy Joint for shows June 4-6. Zany is well known for his appearances on the ‘Bob & Tom Show’ on which he provides the Zany Report and Fix the Joke, Bay-bee.

A 32 year veteran of the business, Zany is also celebrating the recent release of his documentary film, “Close But No Cigar: Bob Zany,” which follows the ups and downs of his career. Zany is one of a kind, and the opportunity to see him live should not be missed.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what it would be?
My oil.

Where is the funniest place you have ever fallen asleep?
A pile of banana peels.

What have you learned in the last week?
I'm in Singapore, they haven't gotten the memo about White Bread. 

If you could trade places with anyone in the world, who it would be, and why?
My younger self, and explain how it always works out.

What was one of your most embarrassing moments?
Trying to pick up on a nun, and she said Yes.

What is the hardest thing you have ever had to do?
Breaking up with the Nun.
 
 What do you hate the sound of?
The alarm on my phone, especially when I didn't set it.

What movie can you quote word for word?
The Artist

Any memories of Dayton?
Staying in the condo back in 97, and discussing with Wiley, if it was a rat or a mouse I saw.

How about a joke?
Rob Haney thinks he's a real ladies man, then again so is Bruce Jenner.

Bob Zany at Wileys Comedy Joint is taking place at Wiley's Comedy Club - now closed, which is located at 101 Pine Street in Dayton. Wiley's Comedy Club - now closed - Dayton's oldest comedy club, Wiley's Comedy Club, has permanently closed. Wiley's Comedy Club was located in the historic Oregon District in downtown Dayton. The final show was on September 7, 2024.
