Zombie Dogz vows to restart its popular food truck as the restaurant closes permanently amid the coronavirus pandemic.

A Dayton restaurant known for its gourmet hot dogs has closed amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A social media post by Zombie Dogz, located on Brown Street near the University of Dayton said the last year had been trying for the restaurant, but the closure during the coronavirus pandemic had made matters worse.
"So with a very heavy heart we will be shutting the restaurant down permanently." said the post.
Zombie Dogz started out as a food truck back in 2012. The truck earned a cult-like following in the Dayton area before opening the restaurant at 1200 Brown Street in 2016.
The restaurant owners said they intend to restart the food truck when it is safe to do so.
"We will be keeping everyone updated when we know exactly when the truck will start back up again." said the post. "We want to thank everyone of you for years of constant support and love. Thank you for everything you have always done for us. We love you all and we can’t wait to get out there and see you at the food truck."
