Frost Bakery & Sweets Grand Re-opening!

Do you ever have a hankering for something sweet? Enter my personal temptation: the cupcake.

My partner didn't quite get the current pastry trend. "What is it about cupcakes that are so appealing?" he asked. The standout answer for me is that a cupcake is a perfectly portioned sweet treat and doesn't lend to overindulgence, unless you bake or buy dozens.

Last spring, I was thrilled to discover a little sweets shop in nearby Springboro: Frost Bakery & Sweets.

On more than one occasion, I've called a girlfriend to meet me for cupcake and conversation as a mid-day get away. I'd love to steer you towards a favorite flavor, but I waffle between red velvet, chocolate with buttercream, and my new favorite: the Twix Cupcake.

It also gives me an opportunity to support a locally owned small business, which is important to me.

A recent ownership change has meant longer hours, an addition of a beverage case, and an expanded menu to include not only cupcakes, but cookies, cookie sandwiches, and sometimes cinnamon rolls. They post their flavors on Facebook each day along with some very tempting photos to get your mouth watering.

On Saturday, April 27th, Frost will be celebrating their grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting at 2 PM. They're looking forward to being a part of Downtown Springboro's Sidewalk Sale from 10-4. It looks to be a beautiful weekend to visit the Downtown Celebration. The Rotary Club will be grilling out hot dogs at the new Rotary Park downtown, a bounce house for the kids and other activities are being arranged as well.

Frost is open Monday through Friday from 11 to 6 and on Saturdays from 10 to 4. I was told they're contemplating some Sunday hours with summer's approach. They also love special orders!
