The URBAN GORILLA is a primal challenge taking over the streets of Belmont. In less than a mile, you must conquer 16 obstacles that will test your strength, speed, and coordination.

Athletes have course options for competitive Men, Women, and those that just want to have fun. You’ll have a blast wreaking havoc in the streets, climbing walls, dragging couches, swinging from the rafters, and so much more! Everyone can do this course!!

OFFICIAL RULES:
Participants can enter the race as the following:
Titus – Advanced Men
Koko – Advanced Women
Bubbles – Fun Course
1) Athletes may choose to complete the Advanced Men, Advanced Women, or Fun Course. Athletes may not switch courses once they begin their challenge.
2.) Athlete’s will be released every 3 minutes.
3.) Athletes must complete each challenge with the full amount of prescribed reps or distances. Skipping reps will not be allowed. Athletes will remain at each challenge until they finish the full set of prescribed reps or distance, or complete the alternative challenge (burpees). A Judge will confirm reps or distances at each challenge and release Athletes immediately at completion. Athletes may assist other Athletes in completing a challenge. Teamwork and fun are encouraged!
4.) Each challenge will have a prescribed number of burpees as an alternative challenge for those Athletes that cannot complete the challenge.
5.) A Judge will record “Complete” or “Did Not Finish” on the Athlete’s scorecard for each challenge.
6.) After the final challenge is completed, awards will be given to Athletes that have completed every challenge on their course.
RACE INFO:
Course Participants must be 18 years of age and will be required to complete the 2019 Urban Gorilla Obstacle Course Waiver Form.
Not Participating? Still come to cheer on the Urban Gorilla participants and make a donation to Brigid’s Path.
